Nanopublication — Chromesthetic Translation — Bb Major / D Bass Voicing (AQC0890)

Bb Major - Research on Harmony - Variations 7

Claim 1: Chromesthetic Translation — Bb Major / D Bass Voicing (AQC0890)

I translate the Bb major [1] chord in first inversion — D4, F5, Bb5, F5, D7 — into a spread visual composition. The bass D anchors the lower left in orange; the mid-register F and Bb open across the center as red-violet and orchid; the upper D dissolves into near-white at the top. The voicing's vertical spread becomes spatial distribution across the paper.

Context

This small acrylic study (10.5×15 cm) is a direct chromesthetic translation of a Bb major chord in first inversion. The voicing — D4, F5, Bb5, F5, D7 — is spread across three octaves, and this vertical register span is rendered as spatial distribution across the picture plane. D in the bass (orange) sits low and left; F and Bb in the mid-register (red-violet, orchid) occupy the center; the upper D (near-white) lightens toward the top. Register-to-brightness encoding is operative throughout: the lowest note is the darkest, the highest the lightest.

This work belongs to the Research on Harmony sub-series within Synesthetic [4] Explorations — études focused directly on the structural character of individual chords and voicings, without compositional elaboration. The painting makes no claim beyond the translation itself.
